BELLS, WHISTLES, AND WATER
As I sit here in the cozy wool hat my Mommy made for me (as seen in the photo to your right) thinking about my day, I can hear the torrents of rain pounding like stampeding horses in the roof. It is times like this when you learn to appreciate all the little things you've got. Like Mothers willing to spend time making you something special. Being able to watch your Father work and know he will always be your hero. Looking into the rain knowing that somewhere, a little boy is looking outside and thinking about the castle out of mud he is going to create with its little moat and maybe a boat or two. Or knowing that a little girl, when she wakes up to that bright new world, is going to look out her window and see how pretty and new it is like a fairy tale story. Unfortunately, some day that little boy will grow up and stop thinking about mud and moats and his attention will turn to work and worries. The little girl will realize that fairy tales aren't real and her happily ever after will be harder and harder to find. The rain will become a nuisance and the time you spend with family will dwindle into nothing but holiday hours. What the world fails to realize is that the family time, boats, moats, fairy tales, shiny new worlds, and rain are not lost to us forever. Everyday should have one fun thing to it's time. Those Loved Mommies and Hero Daddies should never dwindle and mix into just holiday hours and the rain should always make you smile. It is these little thoughts, these rare moments, that make the world so wonderful. So make a paper boat, go call your parents for no reason, believe that fairies laughing makes the flowers open, and don't use an umbrella.
Your blog is so wonderful :) I'm so in love with it.
